Southern New Hampshire University is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Admission Counselor to join our dedicated enrollment team. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding prospective students through the admission process, providing them with the necessary information and support to make informed decisions about their educational journeys. You will engage with high school students, adult learners, and transfer students, helping them understand the benefits of pursuing an education at SNHU. Your role will include conducting outreach efforts, evaluating applications, and providing individual counseling sessions to prospective students and their families. As an Admission Counselor, you will represent the university at various recruitment events, high school visits, and educational fairs, showcasing the unique programs and opportunities available at SNHU. Your ability to build relationships and communicate effectively will be key to fostering a positive experience for prospective students. Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach to prospective students and provide information about SNHU programs.
• Evaluate and process student applications, ensuring all requirements are met.
• Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions to assist students with the admissions process.
• Represent SNHU at college fairs, high school events, and other recruitment activities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with high schools and community organizations.
• Collaborate with other departments to support student enrollment initiatives.
• Provide insights and feedback to enhance the admission process and student experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.
• Prior experience in admissions, recruitment, or student services is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to build rapport with a diverse range of prospective students.
• Knowledge of higher education trends and enrollment processes.
• Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) software.
• Willingness to travel for recruitment events as needed.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
