If meticulous TIG welding excites you, join Howmet Aerospace as an Advanced TIG Welding Technician available on our energetic 2nd and 3rd shifts. Please note, you'll undergo specialized training during our 1st shift (6 am to 2 pm) for the first 3 to 6 months.

Explore your main duties:

Conduct precise TIG welding on an array of metals by following detailed specifications and crafting blueprints.
Skillfully handle GTAW welding apparatus along with supportive tools such as air guns and steel brushes.
Ensure optimal machine performance through regular maintenance and monitoring of argon gas levels.
Evaluate the quality of welds to align with established standards.
Resolve technical issues in welding swiftly to maintain the fluidity of production processes.
Collaborate intimately with engineering talents to interpret and execute blueprints.
Follow stringent safety protocols to uphold a safe working space.
Record and document welding processes with precision.

We seek the following qualities:

A foundational High School Diploma or GED.
At least three years of professional experience in TIG welding; certain vocational certificates are desirable.
Proficiency in hand-controlled manual GTAW and a variety of TIG methodologies.
Expertise in addressing casting defects is a benefit.
Adeptness in gauges, measurements, and knowledge of welding materials is paramount.
