The Position

Our client is seeking to fill a Bank Branch Manager role in the Philadelphia, PA market. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day to day financial activities, assisting in the growth and development of sales to ensure productivity targets are met. Maintaining effective relationship with clients thus, helping in exceeding the loan and deposit goals for the branch.

This opportunity has a generous salary of up to $75K, excellent benefits package and an incentive plan.

Bank Branch Manager responsibilities include:

  • Managing all aspects of branch including the safety and soundness of the branch and the day to day operations of the branch.
  • Proactively participating in, and encouraging, the promotion of deposit and lending products and services through outside business development activities.
  • Displaying an active role in consumer and commercial lending functions through interviewing loan applicants, completing and submitting loan applications, preparing and reviewing required documents, coordinating the execution of contracts and organizing bank lending activities in connection with Lending Officers.
  • Responsible to recruit and select qualified and competent staff to maintain high service levels.
  • Providing back-up to the personal banker and tellers which includes opening new accounts, cashing checks, accepting checks and withdrawals, handling loan payments, etc.
  • Providing training for team members on all policies and procedures, including safety/security issues and compliance training.
  • Interviewing customers to obtain information and explain financial services such as savings and checking accounts, Retirement Account, Certificates of Deposit, savings bonds, and securities.
  • Cross-selling a full range of retail services to present and potential customers.
  • Ensuring the branch conforms to compliance regulations as well as all State and Federal laws, regulation and policies.
  • Participating in community and civic activities and recommending ways of enhancing market share and the Bank’s presence in the community.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Four or more years’ experience in a financial institution, with a minimum of three years of supervisory experience.
  • In depth knowledge of consumer and mortgage loan applications, underwriting, and closing procedures is a plus.
  • Superior customer service and proven sales skills.
  • Ability to communicate in English effectively and professionally by electronic, telephonic, written and face-to-face methods.
  • Strong PC skills, with proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office suite.
