Job Description

MAU is hiring a CAD Designer for our client in Greenville, SC. As a CAD Designer, you will leverage your extensive experience in AutoCAD to support a variety of projects. You will collaborate closely with manufacturing engineers, facilities engineers, and other stakeholders to design and document factory equipment and infrastructure layouts, ensuring seamless installation of new equipment and efficient rearrangement of existing assets. This is a long term contract opportunity.

Required Education and Experience

• 2 years of experience with AutoCAD, ideally focused on industrial facility design and layout
• Experience in industrial construction design

General Requirements

• Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, demonstrating adaptability and teamwork
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Preferred Requirements

• Proficiency with AutoDesk Revit
• An associate degree in drafting or design

Essential Functions

• Develop and maintain detailed CAD models and drawings for manufacturing equipment, line layouts, and associated components
• Integrate new equipment drawings and models seamlessly into existing plant layouts and documentation
• Collaborate effectively within a cross-functional, matrixed organization, ensuring clear communication and alignment across teams
• Actively participate in design reviews and problem-solving sessions, proposing innovative solutions to drive continuous improvement
• Stay current with the latest Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit software updates, leveraging them to optimize design workflows
• Ensure all work meets the highest standards of accuracy and detail, maintaining consistency across all deliverables
• Foster strong communication and teamwork by engaging with colleagues and sharing relevant updates and insights
