Carpentry Instructor - Pine Ridge Job Corps Center
Contractor: UBC National Job Corps Training Fund

Location: Pine Ridge Job Corps Center 15710 Hwy 385 Chadron, NE 69337

Start Date: Immediate

Wage: $32.00 + local CBA Benefit package

Duration: Full-Time Permanent

Shifts: 5/8's

Requirements:
  1. Applicants should have the skill, knowledge, and patience required to teach all phases of the carpentry trade.
  2. Good communication, time management, organization, and supervision skills are essential.
  3. Computer skills to manage email, records, and reports are required.
  4. Ability to teach basic construction math and safety.
  5. COVID-19 vaccination and High School Diploma or equivalent are required.
The following teaching credentials must be attained within 18 months of being hired or promoted into the Instructor or Lead Instructor position:
  1. OSHA 500 Construction Train-the-Trainer
  2. Scaffold Qualification Train-the-Trainer
  3. Green Building Awareness Train-the Trainer
  4. Workforce Education 105-Integrated Curriculum Implementation
Duties:

The basic intent of the Carpenter Instructor is to conduct a training program that will provide training opportunities for unemployed disadvantaged youths in the craft of CARPENTRY. Work experience and related training shall be divided approximately 70 percent manipulative and 30 percent related instruction.
