This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) US Accounting in India.

In this role, you will manage end-to-end accounting and financial operations for US-based clients, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, IRS regulations, and corporate accounting standards. You will prepare accurate financial statements, oversee month-end and year-end closings, and handle federal, state, and local tax filings. The role involves close collaboration with internal teams, external auditors, and tax consultants to maintain strong financial governance. You will implement best practices for data integrity, reporting, and audit readiness, while leveraging modern accounting systems. This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and directly contribute to the financial success of international operations.

Accountabilities:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
• Maintain general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, and P&L analysis
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes for accurate reporting
• Manage US federal, state, and local corporate tax filings
• Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies
• Review vendor invoices, reconciliations, and ensure timely payments
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and implement best practices for financial governance

Requirements:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is mandatory
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with US-based entities
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, federal and state tax laws, and audit processes
• Hands-on experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, Sage)
• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills and strong analytical capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment, supporting US time zones
