DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:
This is routine manual work calling for the performance of simple cleaning duties and may be required. Work is performed under direct supervision of a Supervisor who assigns tasks and frequently inspects and evaluates the employee and their work when completed. Does related work, as required.
TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES:
Sweeps and mops floors by hand or floor machine:
Washes windows and polishes floors;
Dusts woodwork, furniture and other articles;
Cleans lavatories and replenishes supplies;
Washes glassware and other dishware equipment;
Vacuum carpets;
Picks up and recycles trash;
Launders resident drapes, hanging drapes and cubicle curtains.

SALARY AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This is a Full Time, Genesee County civil service position at 40 hours per week and is compensated at a rate of $15.92 per hour. Hours worked are from 5:00am-1:30pm.
