What does a Communications Specialist at Swire Coca-Cola do?

The Communications Specialist at Swire Coca-Cola, USA will be the primary writer on the Corporate Communications team. The successful candidate must have a demonstrated ability to learn and understand a company's business drivers and craft well-written content to be shared with internal audiences. The channels, content and audiences will be our internal comms platform, digital signage, company emails, townhalls, employees and other key stakeholders. The objective of this role is to support our goals of effectively and equitably informing and engaging Swire Coca-Cola, USA employees. Swire Coca-Cola, USA manufactures and delivers the world's greatest beverage brands to 31 million consumers across the American West. Responsibilities:

  • Work across departments and regions and with functional leaders to create internal communications content for company-wide announcements. Write, send and calendar corporate announcement emails for function-specific communications to ensure messages are effectively communicated to employees
  • Be the sole individual responsible for writing multiple stories per week about company news for internal communications platform which is available to all employees
  • Manage all aspects of company-wide digital signage program (TV screens in every facility throughout the company), including content programming and troubleshooting but excluding actual design of the content
  • Manage the production of six live events/company-wide townhalls (coordinating with A/V vendor, townhall setup, etc.) and engage with the executive team and other presenters
  • Coordinate with Graphic Design Specialist to create visuals needed to support communications
  • Support the tracking of analytics to measure effectiveness of communication channels and campaigns
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects. Ensure all projects are completed on schedule and to the highest quality
  • Manage relationships with outside vendors for our various communication platforms as required
  • Lead the monitoring, management, and response to third-party website content (Yelp, Google Maps, etc.) about Swire Coca-Cola, USA
  • Must work across multiple departments and three regions, six production facilities and several dozen distribution centers to identify and understand the needs of the business and how they should be conveyed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in journalism, communications, public relations, or marketing preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in a public relations or communications role
  • Excellent writing skills with demonstrated ability to create independently crisp, effective copy for various audiences. Proficiency with AP Style
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
