The Concept Artist generates the visual blueprints that guide everything our 3D, animation, and VFX teams produce.
This role blends:
Worldbuilding
Character & creature design
Environment and prop ideation
Rapid iteration
Exploratory visual storytelling

π Your Mission
Create high-quality concept art that defines the visual identity of characters, worlds, props, and UI metaphors across all Inkognido products.
You will:
Explore designs that match the Art Directorβs vision
Produce quick sketches and polished illustrations
Help establish visual motifs, shapes, silhouettes, and themes
Provide clear handoff art for modeling + animation teams
Your work becomes the visual starting point of everything built at Inkognido.
π Responsibilities
Create concept art for characters, creatures, environments, props, and vehicles
Generate moodboards, color keys, shape language studies
Rapidly iterate on new ideas and variations
Work closely with Art Director to maintain visual consistency
Collaborate with 3D artists, animators, and technical artists for production needs
Produce callouts, front/side views, and orthographic sheets
Support AR visual R&D for Echo Reality markers and holographic elements
Contribute to world-building documents and visual lore
Create promotional concept pieces when needed (key art drafts, poster mockups)
Ensure all concepts align with gameplay + narrative intentions
You define the early visual DNA of the Inkognido universe.
π§ Requirements
Must Have:
Strong portfolio demonstrating character and environment concepts
Ability to explore multiple style directions and shape languages
Strong understanding of anatomy, composition, color, and lighting
Ability to work fast while maintaining high quality
Experience with Photoshop, Procreate, or similar tools
Ability to communicate ideas clearly with both artists and non-artists
Nice to Have:
Experience creating concepts for games (MMO, RPG, sci-fi, fantasy)
Knowledge of 3D tools (Blender, ZBrush) for paintovers or blockouts
Experience with AR-related visual metaphors or UI iconography
Familiarity with lore-driven or narrative concept pipelines
Ability to create loose key art or cinematic frames
