Job Overview

Maintco is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Construction Business Development Professional to spearhead our expansion into the Greater Seattle area. This role is responsible for securing new business opportunities, developing strong client relationships, and preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong industry network, the ability to generate $1-2 million in sales within the first year. The duties of this role are to promote and sell Restoration and General Contracting Services to potential clients who have experienced a disaster, such as a flood, fire, or other catastrophic event, and need professional cleanup and restoration services. General Contracting services include multi-family, condominium, light commercial and residential services. The ideal candidate for this role consists of being responsible for a variety of tasks such as marketing to Property Managers, HOA's, Insurance Agents, Adjusters, Plumbers etc. Qualified candidates. Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development:
    • Identify and secure new business opportunities in Property Managers, HOA's, Insurance Agents, Adjusters, Plumbers.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, insurance agents, adjusters, property managers, and other industry professionals.
    • Develop and manage a sales pipeline targeting $1-2 million in revenue within the first year.
    • Conduct market research to identify trends and new growth opportunities.
    • Attend networking events, including golf tournaments, trade shows, and industry luncheons.
    • Collaborate with marketing to develop and execute strategic business development initiatives.
  • Estimating & Sales:
    • Present and sell restoration and general contracting services to current and potential clients.
    • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
    • Review project plans, specifications, and documentation to ensure comprehensive estimates.
    • Work with project managers, architects, and engineers to develop precise cost analyses.
    • Negotiate contracts to secure deals.
    • Monitor sales metrics, such as quarterly results and annual forecasts, and align them with company objectives.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Develop long-term relationships for repeat business and referrals.
    • Act as the point of contact for customers, resolving conflicts and ensuring satisfaction.
    • Conduct regular check-ins with clients to anticipate future needs.
    • Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth.
Qualifications

  • Proven success in business development promoting and selling Restoration and General Contracting Services to potential clients who have experienced a disaster, such as a flood, fire, or other catastrophic event, and need professional cleanup and restoration services
  • Established industry network with strong relationships and connections.
  • Track record of high-value sales, ideally achieving $1-2 million in revenue within the first year.
  • Strong estimating experience in construction, with the ability to prepare detailed cost estimates.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of B2B sales experience.
  • Must have an outgoing personality and be comfortable initiating conversations with strangers.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a background check.
