About the Organization:
A mission-driven nonprofit is seeking a Controller to manage financial operations. You’ll collaborate closely with an outsourced CFO and leadership, ensuring transparency and solid financial management.

Position Overview:
As Controller, you’ll manage the books, including debits, credits, and financial reporting. You’ll handle budgeting, compliance, and audits while working with the outsourced CFO on financial strategy. This role requires being on-site five days a week in the Upper East Side.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee debits, credits, and maintain accurate financial records
• Ensure compliance and manage audits
• Lead budgeting, reporting, and forecasting
• Communicate with the outsourced CFO and leadership
• Supervise the finance team

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance (CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred)
• 5+ years in nonprofit finance
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, nonprofit accounting, and financial reporting
• Experience managing books and compliance
• Effective communicator with leadership and external partners
