Job Title: Cyber Security Engineer

Job Description

This position is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining secure software solutions for advanced military applications. The role focuses on hardening the gimbal from a security standpoint, initially focusing on edge computing products. Tasks include hardening the OS, securing networking, and securing software deployments via Docker.

Hard Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in software development using C and C++ in real-time systems
• Experience using Docker and container orchestration tools securely
• Experience securing embedded Linux systems on ARM processors
• Familiarity with NVIDIA and Qualcomm architectures
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies
• Experience with cybersecurity tools and techniques
• Knowledge of safety-critical software development standards and security frameworks
  
  

Soft Skills

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully remote position.

Work Environment

This is a remote role that requires travel to Hood River, OR for 1 week each month. Preferred locations are Oregon, Colorado, or Washington, but candidates from Texas, Montana, Utah, and California are also considered. Travel is necessary due to hardware constraints, with typical schedules involving arrival on Monday and departure on Friday, with full office days from Tuesday to Thursday.
