To provide further opportunities for the congregation to engage their faith outside of Sunday morning, through enrichment and other opportunities currently not available at PCCC. In addition, this position would serve the needs of new and existing members through pastoral care and connection through in-person and other interactions and follow-ups.
CONNECTIONS: • FORM AND SUPPORT NEW AND EXISTING CONNECTION GROUPS (E.G., COMMUNITY GROUPS, AFFINITY GROUPS, INTEREST GROUPS). • RECRUIT, TRAIN, AND SUPPORT GROUP LEADERS. • DEVELOP GROUP LEADERS FOR COMMUNAL CARE. • DEVELOP PATHWAYS FOR GUESTS AND NEW MEMBERS TO BECOME ACTIVE, INVESTED PARTICIPANTS. • CREATE THOUGHTFUL COMMUNICATION WITHIN THE CHURCH VIA SOCIAL MEDIA, WEBSITE, NEWSLETTER, AND OTHER RELEVANT CHANNELS. • OVERSEE VISITOR HOSPITALITY AND FOLLOW-UP.
SPIRITUAL FORMATION: • COLLABORATE IN WORSHIP SERVICES (PREACHING, PRAYERS, LITURGY CREATION). • COLLABORATE ON SERMON SERIES AND WORSHIP PLANNING. • DISCERN SPIRITUAL AND COMMUNAL NEEDS WITH THE LEAD PASTOR. • PROVIDE PASTORAL CARE AND SUPPORT TO THOSE IN NEED.
VOLUNTEER COORDINATION: • PLAN AND PROMOTE VOLUNTEER ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES. • HELP INDIVIDUALS DISCOVER AND USE THEIR SPIRITUAL GIFTS. • PROVIDE TRAINING AND SUPPORT FOR VOLUNTEERS. • FOSTER A CULTURE OF HOSPITALITY AND CARE. • MAINTAIN RELATIONSHIPS WITH COMMUNITY PARTNER STAFF AND LEADERSHIP- INCLUDES MEETINGS WITH LOCAL LEADERS • WORK WITH COMMUNITY PARTNERS ON JOINT EVENTS/FUNDRAISERS/OPPORTUNITIES
EVENT COORDINATION: • PLAN AND EXECUTE EVENTS THAT BUILD COMMUNITY AND MODEL HOSPITALITY. • COORDINATE WITH THE OFFICE MANAGER TO ENSURE PROPER RESOURCES AND FACILITIES FOR EVENTS.
MANAGEMENT: • OVERSEE ALL CHURCH ACTIVITIES ON SUNDAY MORNINGS INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO RECRUITING, SCHEDULING AND MANAGING COFFEE HOSTS, GREETERS, LITURGIST, USHERS AND ACOLYTES; RECRUITING, TRAINING AND SUPPORTING ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS; AND SERVING AS SUPPORT AND BACK-UP TO THE PASTOR AS NEEDED. • ENSURES THAT ALL ADULT SMALL GROUPS OFFERINGS ARE EFFECTIVELY COMMUNICATED TO THE CONGREGATION AND THAT CONTENT REMAINS UPDATES AND CURRENT. COMMUNICATION WILL INCLUDE THE ONLINE CHURCH BULLETIN, WEBSITE, EMAIL / NEWSLETTERS, PRINTED MATERIAL AND SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS. • MANAGE DATABASE SYSTEMS FOR MEMBERSHIP AND EVENT MANAGEMENT.
QUALIFICATIONS: • SHALL BE ACTIVE IN THE CHRISTIAN FAITH AND SUPPORTIVE OF THE CHURCH’S BEDROCK BELIEFS, MISSION, VISION, AND VALUES.
• PERSONAL MATURITY: IS APPROACHABLE, CREDIBLE, AND TRUSTWORTHY; HAS THE ABILITY TO HEAR AND SPEAK TRUTH, AS WELL AS RESOLVE ISSUES IN A CHRIST-LIKE MANNER.
