Job Description



Reporting to the General Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

Responsibilities

  • Prepares the Annual Sales & Marketing Plan and Room Revenue Budgets
  • Develops, implements, maximizes, monitor sand evaluates objectives, business strategies and activities of the Sales & Marketing Department to achieve and exceed forecasted revenue figures in all hotel-related revenue streams.
  • Manages Sales & Marketing expenses in line with Sales & Marketing Budget.
  • Participates in Trade Shows and promotional events to develop new markets by identifying prospective customers.
  • Structure, negotiate and close new businesses and partnerships in all segments:
  • Tour, Travel, & Deluxe Agencies
  • Meetings & Groups including Catering Sales
  • Local Global Corporate
  • Responsible to control all key account yearly contracting processing based on rate negotiation (to support increasing rates on a year-round basis) – negotiates with decision makers – based on volume (hotel’s top productive accounts)
  • Responsible for gaining exposure and inclusion in companies’ worldwide programs (RFP & consortia programs) on preferred rate structure, directly and/or jointly
  • Monitors daily reservations pick-up patterns to maximize occupancy and revenue increase yields
  • Issues and signs Tour & Travel / Corporate Rate contracts and Meeting GDS / RFP contract preparation / negotiation / contracting
  • Reviews and monitors company accounts room night production report based on account and individual sales managers’ productivity to ensure sales objectives as related to revenue monthly budgets are achieved
  • Conducts Sales meeting with the S&M team as well as lead the monthly S&M Strategy meeting, including forecast management
  • Adheres to the brand’s overall vision and hotel policies and procedures.
  • Develops an organized, motivated and cohesive Sales & Marketing team through strong leadership.
  • Drives the Sales effectiveness of the hotel and Sales & Marketing Team.
  • Monitors weekly sales activities to ensure individual sales calls objectives are achieved
  • Provides ongoing direction and implements training programs for the team with 360 approach.
  • Develop and lead the Digital, Marketing and Communication strategies of the hotel.
  • Implements online and offline media plan to increase awareness of the hotel (social media, advertising, editorial and press release requirements, etc.).
  • Liaises and directly monitors the Public Relations strategy with regard to position locally and globally the hotel.
  • Produces and controls all sales literature, including brochures, flyers, poster, promotional letters and giveaways.
  • Work in harmony and synergy with all Senior Executives in the hotel and Corporate Headquarter team.

  • Experience with luxury or global brand is an advantage.

  • High integrity and ability to keep confidentiality.
  • Previous Sales leadership experience required.
  • Must have experience working for luxury hotel brands.
  • Strong experience or adaptable training in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook & PP) software and other automated systems, and PCs.
