Specific Responsibilities

The P&A Technician II for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache’s Drilling, Completions and Workover team at the company’s Midland office reporting to the Workover & PA Manager - USON.

• Prepares correspondence, documents, and regulatory forms for various jurisdiction agencies to maintain regulatory compliance
• Prepare and submit P&A procedure documents to State and Federal agencies 
• Obtain and submit all approved procedures from State & Federal agencies 
• Interface with company personnel, consultants and agency representatives to ensure timely processing of the required documents so that company objectives and agency requirements are met 
• Coordinate with company engineering, geology, and operations throughout the life of a well 
• Work with Land to request land ownership for P&A candidates. 
• Gather well research from various sources for procedure writing purposes 
• Assist in maintaining P&A scheduling spreadsheets 
• Self-motivated to continuously check stages of wells in the P&A system 
• Multitask through P&A processes
• Be able to set up jobs in Wellview 
• Be able to navigate through the AFE process and AFE system 
• Be able to differentiate between low priority & high priority tasks 
  
   

Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

• Minimum Associate’s degree in a technical discipline, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years' experience in drilling and completions operations.
• Land experience in the Permian Basin preferred
• Familiar with Spotfire, Wellview, Power BI, and MS office tools
