Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the design and development of ETL processes using IBM DataStage
* Manage and mentor a team of DataStage developers, providing guidance and support on best practices and technical issues.
* Collaborate with business analysts, DBAs, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate into technical specifications.
* Developer and maintain complex ETL jobs, data pipelines and transformations.
* Optimize ETL processes for performance scalability, and reliability.
* Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues, providing timely solutions and documentation.
* Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
* Assist in planning and execution of data migration and integration projects.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* 5-7 years' experience leading and managing ETL development projects and teams.
* Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and database design.
* Proficiency in SQL and experience and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, DB2)
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
* Experience with version control )e.g., GIT, SVN.)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
