SALARY
$25-$30 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
SUMMARY
Performs a variety of functions related to electrical controls, equipment, and wiring in an industrial plant or worksite. Their work may involve testing, troubleshooting, installation, and repair of the electrical components.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Completion of secondary school is usually required. Completion of a four- or five-year industrial electrician apprenticeship program or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in industrial electrical equipment is usually required to be eligible for trade certification.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, customers, and distributor reps. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, including cold calling on potential customers.
Mathematics Ability
Ability to work with mathematical concepts, such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
