Alila Ventana Big Sur will be hosting open interviews every Wednesday and Saturday from 2pm to 4pm, join us!

• Location: Interviews will be held at The Sur House, located at 48123 CA-1, Big Sur, CA 93920. You are welcome to park in any available spot near the roundabout at the top of the property.
• Directions: Once parked, proceed to the restaurant and let the host know you are here for an interview. They will notify a manager to meet with you.

The Food and Beverage Supervisor will play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests while supporting the day-to-day operations of our food and beverage outlets. This position is ideal for a hospitality professional with a passion for fine dining, attention to detail, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the food and beverage outlets, ensuring exceptional service quality and efficiency.
• Lead, train, and motivate team members to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
• Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback to maintain high standards.
• Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Manager to implement service standards, operational procedures, and training programs.
• Address and resolve guest inquiries, complaints, or special requests promptly and professionally.
• Assist in scheduling, staffing, and ensuring optimal labor cost management.
• Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and manage waste reduction initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Support special events, banquets, and private dining experiences as required.
• Uphold Ventana’s commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

The Hourly Range for this position is $20-$22 per hour plus service charge.  This is the pay range for this position at Alila Ventana Big Sur reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors including experience, and education.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food and beverage operations, preferably in a luxury resort or fine dining setting.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of wine, cocktails, and fine dining service standards.
• Proficiency in point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
