Homeward Bound Professional Animal Care, LLC is a dog walking company that offers services to our clients from their homes. In business since 2011, we have completed over 35,000 visits in the Lakes Region. We treat our clients pet's as if they were members of our own family.

Job Summary

Are you a dog lover who enjoys being outdoors and staying active? Do you want to make a difference in the lives of pets and their owners? If so, we have the perfect job for you! 🐾

We are looking for a responsible, compassionate, and energetic Group Dog Walker to join our team and provide exceptional care to our furry clients.

Job Responsibilities

• Safely walk groups of up to 10 dogs at a time in a controlled and professional manner.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs during walks, including monitoring their behavior, hydration, and comfort.
• Pick up and dispose of waste responsibly during walks.
• Follow specific instructions provided by dog owners (e.g., dietary restrictions, behavioral quirks).
• Provide detailed updates to pet owners, including photos or notes about their dog’s walk.
• Transport dogs safely to and from their homes using reliable transportation.
• Perform solo walks or assist with administrative work as needed by the company.
• Maintain a kind and professional attitude with clients, dogs, and team members.

Current Schedule

• Mondays and Fridays, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM to start. Additional group walking days will be added to your schedule in the spring

Growth Opportunities

• After 3 months with the company, there is room for growth into leadership positions , such as helping oversee group walks or mentoring new team members.

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you should:

• Love dogs and have a deep understanding of their behavior and needs.
• Be physically fit and able to handle walking 5-10 miles per day, as well as lifting dogs or supplies up to 40 pounds if necessary.
• Have experience handling multiple dogs at once, including large and energetic breeds.
• Have a reliable smart device (phone or tablet) to track walks and communicate with our team and clients.
• Have reliable and insured transportation to travel to dog owners’ homes and walk locations (partial mileage reimbursement provided).
• Be reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Be compassionate, patient, and calm when handling dogs of various sizes and temperaments.

Job Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must live in or close to Meredith, Belmont, Gilford, or Laconia, NH.
• Must have weekday availability for Mondays and Fridays, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (with potential for more hours starting in May).
• Must pass a clear background check.
