We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Regulatory Attorney to join our team on a part-time, contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely while contributing valuable expertise to legal content creation.
About the Role:
As a Healthcare Regulatory Attorney, you will develop practical, easy-to-follow legal resources, including "how-to" guides, practice notes, checklists, forms, and legal analysis on topics related to healthcare compliance, regulatory law, and transactional matters. Your work will help legal professionals navigate complex healthcare laws, including Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements, healthcare fraud, licensing, and governance regulations.
This position is ideal for attorneys with a passion for legal writing, research, and knowledge-sharing. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to publications, law firm newsletters, and other legal resources.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and draft clear, concise, and practical legal content for healthcare attorneys and professionals.
Update and refine existing legal documents with relevant case law, statutes, and regulatory changes.
Analyze and structure legal content with a focus on compliance, licensing, reimbursement, and regulatory matters.
Ensure content is well-organized and user-friendly for legal practitioners.
Collaborate with editorial teams to maintain high-quality legal materials.
Required Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active bar membership in good standing within the United States.
5+ years of experience in healthcare regulatory law, with a strong understanding of compliance, governance, and transactional matters.
Expertise in topics such as licensing, healthcare fraud, anti-kickback laws, FCA, Medicare/Medicaid reimbursements.
Experience in legal writing, editing, and research, preferably for law firm newsletters, trade journals, or legal publications.
Strong writing and communication skills with the ability to create clear, engaging legal content.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word (track changes), Excel, and online legal research tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in content development, publishing, or editorial work within the legal field.
Familiarity with HealthCare.gov regulations, compliance functions, and survey/licensing procedures.
Ability to draft newsletters, contribute to legal publications, and develop structured legal templates.
