Affinity Home Care is a boutique concierge agency providing in-home care services throughout New York City and Long Island! We are hiring compassionate & dedicated HOME HEALTH AIDES (HHA'S) to provide medical support to our clients. Duties & Responsibilities: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide mobility assistance, such as helping clients in and out of beds, chairs, and wheelchairs. Monitor and record vital signs like temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure. Administer prescribed medications under the supervision of a healthcare professional. Prepare meals according to dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary. Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, changing bed linens, and maintaining a clean living environment. Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, promoting mental and emotional wellbeing. Assist with basic exercises and physical therapy routines as directed by healthcare providers. Transport clients to doctor appointments, errands, and social activities as needed. Document care provided and report changes in clients’ conditions to nursing staff or family members. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to protect clients and self. Support clients in maintaining independence and dignity in their own homes. Collaborate with family members and healthcare teams to develop and follow care plans. Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies, including administering basic first aid or calling for medical help.
