This position supports the Joint Targeting Toolbox (JTT) program, which is the current USAF program of record. JTT is a suite of software tools that supports the joint targeting cycle from objectives and guidance to combat assessment through management of critical intelligence data. It provides the functionality to perform target development and analysis, weaponeering, and the nomination of relevant targets for attack.
BAE Systems is looking for an experienced Front End or Full-Stack Software Engineer with 2 - 6 years of experience to work on a cross-functional, agile team. This position will support the UI/UX, front end and back end re-architecture of the software. The main goal of the re-architecture is to modernize the UI and infrastructure of a currently operational software application using a modern software design approach in the NGA Core cloud environment. Experience with React, a passion for DevSecOps, and/or experience working in the cloud are all strongly desirable. Candidate must be able to work with UI//UX designer, systems engineers, and cyber engineers in order to plan coding strategy. Candidate will conduct peer code reviews and work with test team during verification phase. This is a hybrid work position; 50% in office and 50% work from home.
Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills - Hold an active Secret security clearance
- US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in a computer related field
- 2+ years of software design, code and test experience
- Proficiency building UI's with modern tools and standards like Angular, React, and NodeJS, Leaflet Maps
- Experience with React Hooks, Redux, SWR
- Experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience with Java web services (REST)
- Ability to innovate, evaluate and research new technologies while staying abreast of industry trends
- Motivated individual with strong problem-solving abilities
- The ability to engage constructively with peers and technical lead to communicate the technical approach, trade-offs, and technical decisions
- Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Highly motivated and able to work well in both team and solo settings
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills - Experience with ArcGIS APIs
- Experience with WMS, WMTS and Map Graphic Rendering
- Experience with SpringBoot or similar application server
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with agile software development
- Experience in cloud-based concepts such as AWS or Azure
- Experience using DevSecOps tools such as Git, Docker, Fortify, Nexus, Kubernetes
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $75570 - $128480

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
