Job Description:
The Center for Advanced Pain Studies ( CAPS ) in the School of Behavioral and Brain Science is seeking an engaged and enthusiastic individual as a research laboratory technician. The individual will be responsible for actively managing transgenic mouse colonies under the supervision of the principal investigators of CAPS . Additionally, they will be responsible for administrative aspects of running a laboratory (i.e., scheduling, record-keeping, etc.) and conducting animal behavioral experiments.
Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills are required for triaging solutions, identifying, and executing troubleshooting efforts, and planning equipment and resource use. Expertise with basic molecular biology techniques and working with mice is highly desirable.Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree with a minimum of two years hands on experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
