Job Description

Lovely family in the Chelsea area of NYC seeks an experienced, patient and nurturing live-in (Monday to Friday, 12-hour days) nanny to provide exceptional care for their 3-month-old child. As a nanny for this family, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being, safety, and development of the child. The candidate should be extremely detail oriented and have a strong knowledge of developmental milestones as well as experience with infants. Flexibility to travel with the family is a must.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the daily care, nurturing, and supervision of the family’s one child

• Helping with establishing and then maintaining the child’s sleep/napping, feeding, and bed-time schedules

• Creating and implementing a stimulating and educational environment for the baby through reading, games, outdoor adventures, walks & outings, crafts, exercises, and toy use.

• Willing and able to participate in all activities related to the care and development of the toddler

• Candidate must strive to create a warm, safe, and supportive environment within the home, as well as curating a nurturing and trusting relationship with the child and the family

• Light tidying up and laundry services for the toddler

• Light cooking and introducing new foods to the child

• Running errands and carrying out special requests as needed

• Additional Nanny duties as requested by the principal

Requirements

• Strong command of English language; excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Excellent references required from both current and previous employers

• Minimum 3-5 years related experience working in a private UHNW home as a nanny, ideally with early childhood

education background and or a nursing background.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities

• Comfortable running errands including grocery shopping, dry cleaning, and deliveries
