We're assisting a well-funded startup with their search for a Machine Learning Engineer. Their infrastructure platform focuses on developing the best model for your AI product. The role will work onsite in their SF office.
What you'll do:
- Lead the development and implementation of advanced machine learning models, with a specific focus on model distillation techniques.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI/ML technologies into products and services.
- Research and apply the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, particularly in the areas of model efficiency and optimization.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team's knowledge sharing and skill development.
- Work closely with the founding team to define the technical vision and strategy for AI projects.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of machine learning projects, from ideation and data collection to deployment and performance monitoring.
What you'll bring:
- A Masterʼs or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in machine learning, with a proven track record in model distillation and AI model optimization.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP).
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable plans.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of guiding a team and collaborating with other departments
