Amazon’s XCM (Cross Channel, Cross Category Marketing) organization is looking for a highly-motivated Paid Media Manager to support the media approach and investment strategies for Amazon’s Prime brand marketing campaign initiatives. This role will develop and manage consumer-facing paid media campaigns that foster Prime membership growth and overall brand affinity, driving brand love with core audiences and growth opportunities. This marketer is able to think big while remaining deeply analytical, naturally curious, and capable of juggling multiple projects to drive innovative and effective plans. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for bar-raising media planning, strong bias for action, and the ability to dive deep into the details. They are a self-starter, resourceful, and find creative solutions to complex challenges.

Working with media agencies and internal teams, you will apply a data-driven approach to determine optimize channel mix for priority audiences based on business objectives. You will ensure high standards across media planning and implementation while coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including campaign managers, marketing teams, measurement partners, and creative and content teams. As an integrated media professional, you will demonstrate strong results orientation, help develop roadmaps and goal tracking, and have experience working with industry partners and social platforms. You will combine skills as a strategist, project manager, and analyst to implement media best practices and support campaign optimization. Strong relationship building skills are essential as you'll work closely with various stakeholders across lines of business.

This role will report into the Prime Media Lead, and will be an individual contributor at this time.

Key job responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end cross-channel media planning and execution for specific campaigns, managing external media agency and internal activation teams to translate business objectives into media campaign strategies
  • Partner closely with internal Prime stakeholders on the broader marketing campaign strategy as the paid media expert
  • Drive real-time campaign optimizations based on key KPIs and compile regular reporting from multiple sources
  • Advise leadership and stakeholders on the reasoning behind decisions and recommendations
  • Navigate a highly-matrixed organization and represent team with integrity and self-sufficiency
  • Partner with other Amazon media managers to leverage overall investment decisions and insights across the team in the most audience-driven expression possible
  • Contribute insights to advertising portfolio strategy and investment models

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years relevant professional experience in marketing, communications, audience strategy and media
  • In-depth knowledge of cross-channel media strategy and experience leading complex business at an agency or or in-house with a large advertiser
  • Clear understanding of media principles, planning and buying functions in the US
  • Experience building and optimizing multiple, simultaneous marketing campaigns
  • Experience using industry media planning such as Nielsen, Kantar, Comscore, etc.
  • Strong speaking and written professional communication skills
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience managing or working within cross-functional marketing and creative teams
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in audience segmentation and targeting
  • Deep knowledge in auction-based media like programmatic and paid social

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $70,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $151,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
