Assistant Meat Manager

Reports to: Meat Manager and Store Manager

Department: Meat

Position Summary: This position directs and coordinates activities of the department by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Responsible to the meat manager for the enforcement of all company policies and procedures.
2. In absence of the meat manager, responsible for overall operation of the meat department as outlined in the Meat Manager job description.
3. Greets all customers and is observant.
4. Receive, weigh, and breakdown meats and related products.
5. Cut and trim all merchandise as directed by company standards.
6. Unload the delivery truck and stock shelves.
7. Promote trust and respect among associates.
8. Display a positive attitude.
9. Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
10. Report all safety risks or issues and illegal activity including robbery, theft, or fraud.
