Medical Assistant Position – Enhance Patient Experience in a Medical Weight Loss Setting

We are seeking a dedicated, part-time Medical Assistant to provide exceptional clinical and front office support at our College Station location. Key Responsibilities – Clinical & Administrative Medical Assistant Duties

• Obtain and record patient vitals, conduct EKG and phlebotomy procedures, and administer intramuscular injections as needed.
• Assist with laboratory order forms, process patient laboratory results, and document progress in medical records and EMR.
• Support physicians and mid-level practitioners with patient referrals to external healthcare professionals.
• Deliver exceptional patient service by maintaining a friendly front office atmosphere and professionally greeting all visitors.
• Utilize a multi-line phone system for answering calls, scheduling appointments, and responding to patient inquiries.
• Conduct follow-up calls to ensure patient satisfaction, address concerns, and provide education or guidance as directed.
• Perform routine scanning and uploading of medical and administrative documents to patient files.
• Monitor daily inventory levels of supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
• Participate in clinic marketing initiatives and support patient engagement strategies for clinic success.
• Train new team members on daily procedures under the guidance of the office manager and/or provider.

Qualifications & Requirements – Certified Medical Assistant Skills

• Current Medical Assistant certification is required.
• Experience in a medical clinic or office setting with front office responsibilities, including insurance verification and benefit eligibility knowledge.
• Demonstrated clinical competence in EKG and phlebotomy; prior experience administering IM injections preferred.
• Experience or training in exercise, wellness, or lifestyle coaching considered an asset.
• Proficient with EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact respectfully and effectively with patients, visitors, and colleagues in a gender-neutral, inclusive manner.
• Outstanding attention to detail, organizational abilities, and reliability in handling sensitive information.
