Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)
Location: Las Vegas, NV 89030 (Onsite Role)
Employment Type: Full-Time (C2C Accepted)

Time Zone Preference: PST or MST candidates preferred

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join a leading client in Las Vegas, NV. This role involves maintaining and optimizing critical database environments, supporting development teams, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to meet technical and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Perform database maintenance, including backup/recovery, monitoring, and optimization.
Design and build new database structures to ensure optimal performance.
Apply patches, upgrade database versions, and maintain security compliance.
Assist development teams in creating database artifacts (tables, triggers, views, etc.).
Develop and maintain shell scripts and PL/SQL programs for automation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business needs.

Key Qualifications

10+ years’ experience in database maintenance on Linux/Windows environments.
5+ years supporting Java and/or ColdFusion-based software development.
Proficiency in PL/SQL programming and shell scripting.
Expertise in logical and physical database architecture.
Experience with performance tuning, troubleshooting, and database optimization.

Preferred Skills

Oracle certifications (preferred).
Expertise in RAC, Dataguard, ASM, and RMAN.
Familiarity with Control-M, ServiceNow, Excel, and Visio.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or related field.

Additional Requirements

Active LinkedIn profile required.
