Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Analyst to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. This fully remote role requires candidates to be available during Central Standard Time (CST) hours. As a key member of the payroll team, you will play an essential role in ensuring compliance, managing multi-state payroll tax regulations, reconciling payroll transactions, and providing backup support to your team.

### Key Responsibilities:
- Research and ensure compliance with state and federal payroll regulations
- Handle state payroll tax registrations and maintain compliance across multiple states
- Implement and manage policies related to garnishments and payroll advancements
- Process payroll adjustments and maintain accurate payroll records
- Prepare government reporting and reconcile payroll data between integrated systems
- Conduct variance analysis and resolve payroll discrepancies
- Assist in accruals and reconciling the sub-ledger to the general ledger
- Provide backup support to other payroll team members when needed
- Utilize accounting software systems and ADP Workforce for payroll and benefits management
- Perform payroll audits to ensure accuracy and compliance

### Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll analysis or a similar role
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (Oracle preferred)
- Experience with ADP Workforce is a plus
- Solid understanding of multi-state payroll tax regulations
- Strong auditing skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work independently
