A well-established regional CPA firm in Wisconsin is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team and support the payroll needs of small businesses across the state. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of payroll experience, a passion for helping businesses thrive, and a keen eye for accuracy. They are open to someone being anywhere in Wisconsin or close by!
Payroll Specialist Responsibilities:
* Process payroll for multiple small businesses across Wisconsin with accuracy and attention to detail.
* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
* Provide clients with timely payroll reporting and resolve any payroll-related issues.
* Support clients with the setup of payroll systems and ensure smooth transitions to new payroll platforms.
* Respond to employee payroll inquiries and address any concerns.
* Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all data security protocols.
* Stay up-to-date on payroll laws and best practices.
Payroll Specialist Background Requirements:
* 2-5 years of external payroll experience, ideally with small business clients.
* Knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations.
* Proficiency in payroll software (experience with Payroll Relief is a plus).
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple payrolls.
* Excellent communication skills and a client-focused mindset.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a remote team.
