Overview:
Kurt J. Lesker Company is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for sourcing materials, products, and services from qualified vendors while managing cost, quality, and delivery to meet our business needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Issue purchase orders to fulfill sales, production, and inventory requirements
  • Respond to pricing and delivery inquiries for non-stocked items across departments
  • Analyze historical data and sales forecasts to optimize inventory levels
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, and quality terms with suppliers
  • Conduct onsite vendor audits and inspections
  • Implement inventory and purchasing strategies such as JIT, MRP, and E-commerce.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Material Control, and Production to enhance supply chain value
  • Maintain accurate product data including pricing and lead times
  • Ensure purchase order delivery dates are current and accurate
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
  • Provide performance feedback to vendors on quality, delivery, and service
  • Communicate professionally with internal teams and external partners
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and Power BI.
  • Knowledge of purchasing techniques such as RFQs, blanket orders, and strategic costing.
Preferred
  • Foreign language proficiency.
  • CPIM or CSCP certification.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
