Hours: Standard University business hours

8:30am - 5:00pm (academic year)
8:00am - 4:30pm (summer)
Hours may vary based on operational needs.

Job Description:
This multi-faceted position interfaces with multiple internal and external constituents including students, parents, faculty, employers, university staff members, administrators, industry practitioners and donors. Works closely with Sport Analytics Program Director to manage academic and administrative responsibilities in Department of Sport Management. This includes close collaboration in student recruitment, admissions, event management, curriculum and schedule management, marketing, communications, job placement, and donor relations. It will also include working with students in their professional development throughout their academic career. Ongoing contact with students throughout their time of study at Syracuse University will be vital mentoring them through coursework, experiential learning opportunities and internships that will enhance their academic and practical experiences.

Additional duties supporting departmental initiatives including the Berlin Sport Analytics Academy through Syracuse University Summer College; an annual Sport Analytics symposium; hosting academic, professional, and student initiatives; serving as advisor for the Sport Analytics Learning Community and various student-based organizational activities.

This position is part of a bargaining unit and is represented by the union SEIU, Local 200United.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administration and oversight of the undergraduate and graduate programs in Sport Analytics.
  • Offer advice and direction to undergraduate and graduate students to ensure academic success and progress toward degree requirements/graduation.
  • Coordinate curriculum adjustments and scheduling with department faculty and staff.
  • Participate, and contribute to, meetings and discussions regarding changes to the program.
  • Partner with Sport Analytics Program Director in defining and implementing processes to improve program administration and delivery.
