Senior Data Scientist Description

Our remote team is actively seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist with a deep understanding of Python and SQL.

The Senior Data Scientist will play a crucial role in detecting and addressing business-related issues, analyzing data, creating and verifying models, and efficiently conveying the results. The individual's significant contributions will greatly impact the data-driven decisions within our organization.

Responsibilities

• Unearthing and addressing business issues through data analysis and modeling
• Efficient data analysis and interpretation using Python and SQL
• Creation and verification of analytical models for various applications including Deep Learning, AI, and Time Series Forecasting
• Articulate and informative communication of findings and insights
• Cooperation with different teams to encourage data-driven decision-making
• Regular updates on the latest developments in Data Science and ML modeling
• Involvement in the development of Data Science solutions
• Utilization of data visualization techniques for efficient communication of insights
• Employment of NLP and text mining techniques for insightful results
• Guidance and coaching of junior data science professionals

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in Python and SQL for data analysis and modeling
• Strong background in data-focused applied mathematics, including statistical analysis and machine learning
• Solid understanding of modeling and Algorithms, such as Boosting Algorithms
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, Scikit-learn, pandas, and matplotlib
• Comprehensive experience in ML Modeling for Deep Learning, AI, and Time Series Forecasting
• Proficiency in at least one of the major Cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Understanding of the development of Data Science solutions
• Exceptional data visualization skills
• Experience with NLP and text mining
• Problem-solving ability
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in English

Nice to have

• Experience with MLOps solutions such as SageMaker, Vertex, or Azure ML
• Understanding of Big Data solutions, particularly Spark/PySpark
