Senior Data Scientist Description

Our remote team is looking to add a Senior Data Scientist who is highly proficient in Python and SQL.

The Senior Data Scientist will be instrumental in identifying business-related issues, scrutinizing data, establishing and authenticating models, and effectively communicating results.

The individual's contributions will significantly influence the implementation of data-driven decisions in our organization.

Responsibilities

• Identification and resolution of business problems via data analysis and modeling
• Effective data analysis and interpretation using Python and SQL
• Establishment and validation of analytical models for various applications including Deep Learning, AI, and Time Series Forecasting
• Clear and informative presentation of findings and insights
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams to facilitate data-driven decision-making
• Consistent update on the latest progress in Data Science and ML modeling
• Contribution to the production of Data Science solutions
• Usage of data visualization techniques for effective communication of insights
• Application of NLP and text mining techniques for insightful results
• Leadership and mentoring of junior data science professionals

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Python and SQL for data analysis and modeling
• Solid background in data-focused applied mathematics, including statistical analysis and machine learning
• Strong approach to modeling and Algorithms, such as Boosting Algorithms
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, Scikit-learn, pandas, and matplotlib
• Extensive experience in ML Modeling for Deep Learning, AI, and Time Series Forecasting
• Proficiency in at least one of the major Cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Familiarity with the production of Data Science solutions
• Strong data visualization skills
• Experience with NLP and text mining
• Problem-solving aptitude
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in English

Nice to have

• Experience with MLOps solutions such as SageMaker, Vertex, or Azure ML
• Familiarity with Big Data solutions, particularly Spark/PySpark
