We are looking to hire a Senior Manager, Public Policy – Sustainability, to join a growing and dynamic team that works in support of Amazon’s climate, environment, and sustainability goals. Across our entire operation, Amazon is working to transition to clean energy, reduce waste, and limit our impact on the environment. Like our business interests, our policy issues are broad, forward-thinking, and driven by what is best for our customers.

In this role, the Senior Manager will help lead Amazon’s public policy efforts on product sustainability and certification programs, accelerate transportation electrification, and oversee policies related to chemicals – all in an effort to advance Amazon’s climate and sustainability goals. This position will develop and execute policy and advocacy strategies and work with a broad range of stakeholders, including associations, federal, state, multilateral, and local governments. The Senior Manager will work collaboratively with business, legal, and communications teams to ensure alignment between business priorities and public policy goals. This position will report to the Director, Public Policy - Sustainability and work closely with other public policy team members to execute on goals.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- BS/BA required.
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in public policy, government, corporate social responsibility or NGOs working on climate, environment, energy, or sustainability policy.
- An ability and desire to travel.
