Position Overview:

As a Senior Network Administrator , you’d be responsible for administration and day-to-day operation of organization's networks. Manages complex network and server environments (including virtualization). Leads in the establishment and maintenance of policies, procedures and associated training plans for network resource administration, appropriate use, security controls and disaster recovery.  Integrates the organization’s mission and “Guiding Principles” into daily practice.

Core Responsibilities

 
  • Designs, procures, implements, and maintains LAN/WAN infrastructure and access layer networking devices.
  • Researches and recommends network and data communications software and hardware for emerging business needs.
  • Performs in-depth services including monitoring, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolution of infrastructure and access layer devices.
  • Interfaces with customers, vendors, users, and 3rd party agencies to coordinate the implementation of secure connectivity solutions.
  • Analyzes network usage for capacity planning. Performs network modeling, analysis, planning and troubleshooting.  Develops new network systems to support company growth.
  • Performs upgrades, monitors, troubleshoots and fixes complex network hardware and software problems.
  • Maintains network component inventory and related documentations of technical specifications.
  • Implements and enforces network security controls and disaster recovery procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support overall effectiveness of the department.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • BA or higher in Computer Science strongly preferred
  • CISCO Certifications required
  • OR any equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Thorough understanding of VPN, IPSEC, and IP configuration
  • Understanding of network architectures
  • Demonstrates general computer skills including: data entry, word processing, email, and record management.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain quality and safety standards.
  • Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work closely and professionally with others.
  • Ability to configure routers and switches
  • Ability to maintain LAN/WAN
