Job Description
TRU is representing a major global law firm seeking a Senior Staff Attorney - eDiscovery Technology to work closely with the eDiscovery, AI, and Information Governance practice group. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting large litigation, investigatory, and regulatory matters during the discovery phase. This is not a doc review role. Candidates must have strong skills within Relativity and other relevant systems, as this position will advise clients and case teams on technical aspects of matters to develop custom workflows and perpetuate best outcomes. Attorneys with Am Law experience who have also worked as an eDiscovery PM are encouraged to apply. Candidates must reside and be licensed in DC, NY, MA, or CA. This is a functionally remote role, however candidates must live near an office.
Duties & Responsibilities- Coordinates with internal practice teams to ensure that case-specific eDiscovery processes are implemented and milestones are met
- Facilitates communication between the Staff Attorney department and the associates and partners responsible for the case
- Works directly with clients and case teams to identify and manage structured data within various data warehousing infrastructures
- Works with the firm’s litigation support group and eDiscovery vendors to support document preservation, collection, and processing efforts
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications- Significant eDiscovery experience in AMLAW 100 or 200 firm environments, or major eDiscovery consulting background, working on large litigation, regulatory, or investigation matters at all phases of the EDRM
- Current good standing in the DC, NY, MA, or CA Bar
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills applied to project coordination
- Strong service orientation
- Ability to work under pressure and a willingness to work additional hours and help others with deadline intensive projects
- Strong working knowledge of eDiscovery document review projects and typical workflows
- Significant experience with on-line document review systems such as Relativity, Nuix Discover, or other similar document review software platforms
- Experience working directly with client technical and product SMEs to identify relevant structured data
- Experience with, and understanding of, data warehousing infrastructures, particularly schema-on-read infrastructures such as Apache Hive, Apache Spark, Snowflake, Amazon Athena, or Google BigQuery
- Entry-level programming and data manipulation skills using SQL is required; experience with Python is desired
Education- JD from an accredited U.S. law school or the equivalent is required
- Relevant technical certifications are preferred
Expected salary for this exempt role is $150,000 - $175,000, commensurate with experience, training, skills, qualifications, and other market factors.
