Job Description

This position is part of a growing, fast paced team, reporting directly to the Tax Manager. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and hands on tax accountant with a strong understanding of Federal and State Corporate Income Taxation. In this role, the Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for supporting the Equinox brands tax obligations as well as assisting with accounting, research and planning.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the preparation of income tax workpapers and quarterly and year-end tax ASC 740 provision calculations and disclosures for the Equinox Group Brands.
• Assist in the preparation of federal corporate, state and local corporate, international, and Canadian tax compliance.
• Calculate and file quarterly estimated income tax payments.
• Ensure accurate and timely filing/remittance of all tax returns, extension and estimate payments.
• Calculate tax depreciation to support federal and numerous state and local tax filings for a very capital-intensive business.
• Prepare and file the annual foreign bank account reporting forms.
• Monitor and analyze federal, state and local tax legislation, regulations and cases.
• Liaison with operating management on tax issues and accounting staff on tax accounting issues.
• Assist with ongoing tax department project and tasks such as audits, credits and other tax incentives.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years corporate income tax experience, including working knowledge of ASC 740.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Tax. CPA candidate is preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft D365, OneStream, and OneSource Income Tax/GoSystem Tax.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, expert in Excel with modeling and efficient spreadsheet usage.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with corporate management and accounting.
• Must be a self-starter, capable of working independently or leading others in an organized manner. 
• Strong organization skills and ability to multitask.

Pay Transparency: Min $90K - Max $95K
