You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to design intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for web applications. Your designs will help bridge the gap between our cutting-edge technology and the end-users who rely on our platform daily.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about user-centered design, has a keen eye for detail, and loves solving complex problems with creative design solutions. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to impact all aspects of our product design, from high-level user flows to pixel-perfect UI elements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of intuitive, user-centered interfaces for both web and mobile applications.
  • Translate complex workflows into simple, elegant user interfaces that enhance user experience.
  • Develop and maintain a consistent design language across all of our products, ensuring a seamless user experience.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to iterate on designs and improve the product.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, tools, and technologies, and apply them to improve the overall design process.
  • Communicate design ideas and prototypes to stakeholders in a clear, compelling way.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer, with a portfolio demonstrating strong user-centered design practices and beautiful, functional interfaces (required).
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar (required).
  • Experience with responsive design and mobile-first principles (required).
  • Ability to create high-quality wireframes, mockups, and prototypes (required).
  • Strong understanding of interaction design, usability principles, and accessibility standards (required).
  • Experience with user research, usability testing, and analyzing user behavior (preferred).
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (required).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams (required).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent work experience (preferred).

Key Functions

  • Design user-friendly interfaces that enhance our software's usability and visual appeal.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure seamless implementation of your designs.
  • Perform user research and use data-driven insights to inform design decisions.
  • Ensure designs meet brand guidelines and create a cohesive experience across products.
  • Iterate quickly on feedback to continuously improve user experiences.

Benefits

  • 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer matching
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life insurance coverage
  • Generous paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, and holidays
  • Opportunities for professional development and continuous learning

Location: Grand Rapids, MI (Hybrid - initial on-site work required for 3 to 6 months before transitioning to a hybrid model)

If you’re passionate about designing cutting-edge user experiences and want to be part of a growing, innovative startup, we’d love to hear from you!
