Summary Objective: The Senior Construction Manager is responsible for completing all assigned construction projects as specified, safely, on schedule and on budget. Coordinate architect, general contractor, subcontractors and USF facility specialists to complete assigned projects as efficiently as possible. Reporting regularly to supervisor and executive team on project progress, costs, challenges, delays and opportunities to improve. Essential Functions: Deliver the Ultimate Fitness Experience to every member, every time Monitor and facilitate work assigned to contractor(s) to ensure accurate, timely and cost-effective completion. Ensure and maintain a safe work environment on all assigned projects that complies with OSHA requirements. Assist in coordinating and completing punch lists and collecting all required closeout documentation. Job Responsibilities: Construction & Renovation Management Manage all contractors and subcontractors for project work performed by US Fitness. Liaise with architect to resolve design problems; Evaluate and implement all change orders per USF policies. Manage quality control procedures for field installation of materials and equipment. Ensure and maintain a safe work environment on all assigned projects that complies with OSHA requirements. Assist with estimates and sourcing materials and contractors for prospective projects as they arise. Safety and Risk Management Identify and review corporate and field security requirements and risk assessments with all contractors, subcontractors and employees. Communication & Reporting Collaborate with Senior Management on assigned construction and renovation projects. Participate in project coordination meetings. Issue and respond timely to all RFI's and change orders for assigned renovation and construction projects. Provide accurate project updates to Regional and General Managers during club renovations to ensure all stakeholders are aware of construction schedules, scope of work, and impact to team members, members, and guests. Training Attend required training sessions and meetings. Administration Monitor and report actual schedule performance; recommend corrective actions if needed. Inspect and approve deliveries, materials, and products related to work performed by US Fitness. Assume other duties as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Generate, maintain and demonstrate a friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude. Must have a high level of professionalism, honesty, integrity and work ethic. Must have strong attention to detail. Knowledge of construction practices and project management required. Ability to direct work and lead others through projects from inception to completion. Ability to communicate effectively with all staff and vendors. Ability to manage projects, schedules, budgets, and workflows. Coordinate multiple projects and keep on task and on time. Have knowledge and understanding of the following trades: General contracting, Architecture, Electrical, Fire Alarm Systems, Pools, Plumbing, and HVAC. Ability to estimate construction costs and source necessary trades and materials. Ability to multi-task. Ability to work productively in the absence of supervision. Ability to use computer and data management systems. Willingness to work flexible hours, nights and weekends. Willingness to learn new tasks. Required Experience, Education, & Certifications: Minimum of 5 years related experience in commercial construction and/or project management.
