We are seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join our team, where you will report to the Project Manager and Principal on various projects. In this role, you will collaborate with geotechnical, architectural, and MEP project members to ensure the successful completion of projects. Your responsibilities will include developing structural design calculations, conducting structural analysis and research, and creating specifications and structural drawings. You will apply ACI, AISC, and IBC building codes, as well as PCI and PTI Design Guidelines to the design of foundations, superstructures, and related building components. Additionally, you may assist with site visits and the review of testing, inspection, and field reports.
Job Responsibilities
+ Develop and complete structural design calculations and drawings.
+ Conduct structural analysis and research.
+ Collaborate with geotechnical, architectural, and MEP team members.
+ Apply ACI, AISC, IBC codes, and PCI & PTI Design Guidelines.
+ Assist with site visits and review testing/inspection reports.
+ Work with Senior Structural Engineer on structural research and analysis reports.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree is required.
+ Must have EIT certification and be on track towards PE; SE is a plus.
+ 2 or more years of post-graduate structural experience.
+ Experience with parking structures is preferred, or commercial/healthcare/industrial.
+ Proficiency in Revit is required.
+ Knowledge of construction documentation.
+ Understanding of concrete, structural steel, and masonry design.
+ Familiarity with ACI, AISC, and IBC building codes.
+ Experience with wind/seismic analysis and retention walls.
Work Environment
This position is based in our Chicago office located in The Loop, with a team of 18 people across three teams: Architects (New Design), Restoration, and Studies/Research. The work hours are from 8:30 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility to accommodate early or late schedules. Initially, the role requires full-time in-office presence, with the possibility of 1-2 remote days once acclimated. The company provides desktop computers, and laptops are available for travel needs. Projects span across the US, with project-sharing opportunities if workloads vary across offices.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
