Role Summary

One of our client is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Specialist to join a stable and growing industrial manufacturing and distribution company in Queens, NY. This hands-on role involves purchasing materials and finished goods, managing vendor relationships, and collaborating across departments to ensure efficient operations. Candidates should have experience with metal materials and ERP/MRP systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Purchase materials and finished goods to meet production and operational requirements.
• Monitor vendors for delivery schedules, pricing accuracy, and volume discounts.
• Maintain strong communication with vendors and logistics teams to ensure smooth product flow.
• Collaborate across departments to facilitate operations and support company goals.
• Track and follow up on purchase orders to meet critical deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience purchasing metal materials required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP systems.
• Highly organized, deadline-oriented, and detail-focused.
• Positive, collaborative personality with excellent communication skills.
