JOB DESCRIPTION

Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
Skill Level(s): Subject Matter Expert

•  plan, implement, test, document and maintain solutions to total systems and interfaces using internally created or commercial off-the-shelf products.
•  provide a total systems perspective including a technical understanding of relationships, dependencies, and requirements of hardware and software components.
•  coordinate with the Organization and other team members to provide technical guidance for the Organization’s optical networks.
•  provide design and integration services to upgrade the Organization’s legacy services, to include resolving design and integration issues.
•  mitigate risk when planning and implementing new systems.
•  make recommendations, if needed, on test and evaluation strategies for major systems’ installations.
•  ensure user satisfaction in the design, transition, and implementation of new technologies.
•  ensure adequate and appropriate planning is provided for hardware installation and integration.
•  communicate and plan installation and network changes with Organization’s facilities and site management departments.
•  prepare engineering plan and site installation plan technical design packages for hardware and software.
•  provide the Organization solutions that are current with evolving network technologies.
•  research new technology, and implement it or recommend its implementation.
•  establish standard functional and technical specifications.
•  solve hardware and software interface problems.
•  ensure integration of entire system and subsystems in all new and future network designs.
•  coordinate with Vendors and with Company personnel to facilitate purchases.

The Candidate shall possess and provide the following required skills and demonstrated experience:

•  providing optical service.
•  Dense Wave Division Multiplexer design and implementation.
•  legacy optical carrier equipment, Synchronize Optical Network.
•  data communications networks to manage devices.
•  in optical engineering.
•  fiber optic systems.
•  field of optics and network integration.
•  Agile software development methodology.
•  producing reports and data visualizations using tools such as Tableau or SharePoint.
•  HTML and browser compatibility baselines.
•  customer service skills responding to senior level requests.

Highly Desired Skills
Skills and demonstrated experiences that are highly desired but not required to perform the work include:

•  working both independently and on teams with minimal oversight.
•  exhibiting skills and capabilities with Organization computer systems to produce ad hoc reports on project activity and Project Schedules for consumption by senior management.
•  exhibiting oral and written communication skills across multiple customer communication needs: writing reports, meeting minutes, point papers, memos, and briefings.
•  coordinating between the Organization and Organization’s partners and responding to all clients from the new-hire technician to high level staff and all in-between, for all customers who subscribe to the network.
