We are currently looking to add a Traffic Operations Designer to our team. As a Traffic Operations Designer, your responsibilities will include:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Coordinating with and assisting a licensed engineer, analyze and prepare project designs and drawings for traffic signals, highway signing, and pavement markings
• Use standard drafting/design principles and theories to prepare project drawings quickly, accurately, and in accordance with all specifications outlined in internal and external CADD manuals
• Work from project specifications, sketches, computer models, and verbal information to determine the most appropriate views, detail drawings, and supplementary information needed to complete drawings quickly and accurately
• Coordinate with other technicians, designers, and engineers to complete details and ensure a cohesive design
• Effectively present proposed team design solutions as part of internal project meetings
• Stay up to date with industry CADD standards and best practices
• Adhere to company marketing requirements by providing timely personal resume updates and participating in marketing campaigns
• Ensure timely completion of time sheets, expense reports, and labor hours management
• Take ownership of personal and team member career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop and teach new skills, and setting and pursuing goals
• Contribute to the development of team members through mentorship and modeling positive behaviors

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Years of Experience: 10+ years in a design role
