By breaking down language barriers and offering expertise in over 150 languages, our Medical Interpreter and Translation staff serve as a vital communications bridge between patients, families, and medical staff, ensuring our health care providers are able to deliver culturally informed and compassionate care to every patient, every time.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Hospital Interpreter Supervisor to oversee the safe, efficient, and high-quality provision of interpreter services at both the CHA Cambridge and CHA Somerville Hospital campuses. • Competency Assessments: Conduct competency assessments (shadowing) for hospital-based interpreters in languages you are qualified to assess. Assist with assessments for interpreters at other CHA sites as needed.
• Performance Evaluations: Complete annual Performance Evaluations for hospital-based interpreters at CHA Cambridge and Somerville campuses. Provide feedback and guidance to improve service delivery.

• Data Analysis & Reporting: Assist in analyzing interpreter requests, call volume, and call treatment trends. Support the Sr. Director in reviewing vendor invoices and identifying areas for service improvement.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Represent the department in campus-based huddles and interdisciplinary meetings. Promote a patient-centered approach in all interactions, ensuring that patient and customer needs come first.
• Quality Improvement: Actively participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives, and support performance improvement efforts across the organization
