Job Description
We are seeking a talented UX Researcher to join our innovative team! In this role, you will play a vital part in driving transformation and innovation by providing valuable insights and research outcomes that lead to significant business and product impacts. As a core member of the team focused on the Retail work stream, you will collaborate closely with Experience Designers and Managers, as well as the larger UX Research team and our broader Customer Marketing Insights (CMI) organization. Your contributions will help us understand customer needs and expectations, enabling us to create delightful and effective solutions.
What You Will Be Doing:
Conduct various research activities, including user interviews, field studies, journey mapping, concept testing, and shop-alongs, to gather insights from our client's retail locations.
Manage the entire research process, from strategic planning and data collection to crafting insights for presentations to senior leadership.
Prepare for workshops and deep dives, moderate sessions, and provide essential research support as needed.
Synthesize research findings into compelling insights and narratives that drive impact.
Explore syndicated and secondary research sources to enhance our understanding of customer behaviors and trends.
Ensure a positive participant experience by maintaining comfort, confidentiality, and taking notes and recording sessions as needed.
What You Need to Excel in This Role:
A Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of related experience in user research.
Proficiency in user research methods such as usability testing, user interviews, and diary studies, particularly within the brick-and-mortar retail sector.
Strong ability to define and plan research approaches and methodologies in alignment with project scope and timelines.
Experience with secondary data analysis, trends, and insights.
Proven experience moderating and planning field studies and usability studies in both in-person and remote environments.
Demonstrated impact of UX Research on business and product decisions.
A degree in Human Factors, Psychology, HCI/Computer Science, Sociology, or a related field is a plus.
Expertise in traditional research methods alongside UX/UI and digital research.
Experience providing insights to enhance digital engagement (e.g., websites, apps, APIs).
Compensation:
The base salary for this position ranges from $190,000 to $200,000. Individual compensation may vary based on factors such as location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. This range represents just one aspect of our total compensation package.
