Job Description

We are seeking an EXPERIENCED horse caretaker for feeding and healthcare maintenance for equines and other animals.

Requirements of the job include:
-knowledge of common equine health issues (colic, wound care, lameness, etc) and ability to administer proper treatments
-ability to work 2-3 hrs a day outside in heat, rain, etc
-physical fitness and emotional stability

Also prefer:
-ability to lift 100# bales of hay (1-2 per day) and feed bags as needed
-someone willing and able to do manure removal as needed

Our current need is for someone who can feed and take care of the animals" health needs. We have someone who is doing manure and tractor work. At this time we need someone with RECENT horsecare skills.

No riding involved. Perfect job for someone who has their own outside work to keep them busy during the day. YOU MUST HAVE YOUR OWN SELF-CONTAINED RV - we have no housing, there is nothing available in the community, we cannot have people sleeping in tents or their cars, and we don"t have any extra bathrooms. You must have your own motorized vehicle to drive into town to do your laundry and buy food. We are seeking someone who can function independently on the job and also take care of themselves. Our location is rural and owner works off site. We are a no-smoking, drug-free place. No heavy alcohol use and no drama. Must be US citizen.
