Are you a tech-savvy problem solver with a passion for maintaining and optimizing IT networks? NS2 Mission is seeking a Senior Network Administratorto join our team in Chantilly, VA (HQ). This role is perfect for someone with solid experience in network administration who is looking to take on new challenges in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment. As a key member of our team, you will help design, secure, and optimize high-availability networks while working on critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Design & Implementation:Assist in the design, configuration, and support of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Network Maintenance & Upgrades:Plan and implement software upgrades and patches for routers, switches, and firewalls, ensuring network performance is optimized.
• Security & Compliance:Implement and monitor Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) configurations for network devices, and proactively address security vulnerabilities and network events.
• Documentation:Help create and maintain network diagrams, configurations, and security procedures for network devices and infrastructure.
• Collaboration & Communication:Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders, providing clear technical guidance and recommendations for network performance and security improvements.

Required Qualifications:

• 6-8 years of related experience in network administration.
• CompTIA Security+ Certification
• Solid knowledge of networking concepts and protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, MPLS, LDP, RSVP, VPLS, STP.
• Experience with network hardware platforms and high-availability (HA) network infrastructures.
• Experience in network traffic analysis, including using packet capture tools and assessing traffic flow.
• Familiarity with network device hardening, STIG compliance, and security tools like Nessus and Splunk.
• Basic proficiency in updating and maintaining network diagrams (Visio or similar tools).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP).
• Hardware Expertise: Experience with Cisco Catalyst and ASA series platforms.
• Security Tools: Experience using Splunk and Nessus for network security monitoring.

TS/SCI with CI Poly
